We all do, but sometimes it is hard to figure out how to use them. How do you make a quilt that doesn't look a mess? During my 1 hour trunk show, I will share my quilting journey and present three strategies for choosing fabric for your scrap quilt. I will share many of my scrap quilts as examples.

Traditional Blocks, Modern Quilts
Want to mix up your quilting style? In Modern Traditionalism, traditional blocks are used as inspiration for quilts with a modern esthetic. In this presentation, I will take different traditional quilt blocks and show how you can play with color, scale, alternate girds, minimalism, and more to achieve a modern look.

Improvisational Trees
Learn six different techniques for making improvisationally pieced trees. With no set pattern or measurements each tree is a unique creation. This hands-on class a great way to let go of the rules and let your creativity shine. You will make at least 6 different improv trees and learn how to join the tree blocks together into a wall hanging or table-topper. Or keep making trees to make a larger quilt!
6 hour class, $400 plus $3 class fee per student (limited time price)

 
 

Build Foundation Paper-Piecing Skills While Making Scrappy Stars
Learn how to foundation paper piece while making 6” Scrappy Stars. In this class, students will gain confidence as they progress through the stars and learn new strategies that will ensure perfect results.
6 hour class, $400 plus $6 pattern purchase per student (limited time price)

Travel

I am located in Chesterfield, Missouri. Any in-person evening presentation with over a 2 hour drive will also need to schedule at least one additional class and provide overnight accommodations.

Traveling Expenses:

  • The IRS standard milage rate for driving, or the cost of an airline flight, baggage check fees, and an Uber to and from the airport.

  • Hotel accommodations.

  • If flying, transportation to and from the classes. Either via Uber or a guild member picking me up.

  • $40 per diem or meals provided by guild.
