Mt. Range Quilt Along - Week 3

Scrappy Mt. Range Quilt Along.jpg

It is Week 3 of the Scrappy Mt. Range Quilt Along! We are going to be making Rows 3 and 4 this week. The blocks are large, so they go together fairly quick (and are making lots of scraps for our small blocks!).

To speed piecing even more, consider writing what colors you are using on the back of the foundations and piece multiple foundations at a time, instead of one by one. This will mean less up and down to iron and trim and should speed the process.

I have attached all the instructions below. There are row layouts for all of the rows in the quilt so you can work ahead if you want.

Click below to download and print the instructions.

There were some beautiful mountain ranges made last week and I have posted pictures of some of them below.

I picked a random winner from those who shared pictures of their first two rows on Instagram. The winner of last week's giveaway, 6 fat quarters from my stash, is Kim @quilty_kim. Yay! I'll be in contact.

This Week's Giveaway:

This week's participation prize is a $30 gift certificate to Sewing by Sarah. They carry sewing machine feet, rulers, cutting mats, and more. (Including my patterns!) They are able to offer significant discounts because items ship directly from overseas warehouses. This means the shipping time is longer, but you are able to save quite a bit. Check them out.

To be entered to win the $30 gift certificate, post a picture of Rows 3 and 4 on Instagram by midnight Sunday the 27th with the hashtags #MtRangeQALWeek3 and #MtRangeQAL.

It's fun to see all these mountains come together!

You can find all the other Quilt Along Posts below.
